Fidèle à sa triple mission de soins, d’enseignement et de recherche, le CHRU de Tours accueille chaque année des professionnels étrangers (médicaux, paramédicaux, administratifs et techniques) au sein de ses services.
In compliance with its three core missions (medical care, teaching and research), Tours University Hospital welcomes every year foreign professionnals (medical, paramedical, administrative and technical staff) within its units.

En ce qui concerne le personnel médical, il existe plusieurs statuts possibles pour les professionnels accueillis, correspondant à une réglementation complexe en fonction des cas de figure et évolutive.
Il convient de distinguer :
- d’une part entre les internes en formation dans le cadre du troisième cycle des études de santé et les praticiens ayant validé leur cursus et obtenu leur diplôme de fin d’études à l’étranger,
- et d’autre part entre les titulaires d’un diplôme établi dans un pays membre de l’Union Européenne et les titulaires d’un diplôme hors-Union Européenne.
Regarding the medical staff, there are different categories of positions that are applicable for the hosted professionnals, corresponding to a complex and evolutionary legislation.
It must be distinguished :
- on one hand between medical residents/interns (students in their 3rd circle) and MD-PHD doctors with a foreign degree who completed their studies,
- and on the other hand, between candidates with a medical degree from a European Union member state and candidates with a medical degree from a state outside the European Union. »
